Vegetable Juice KitKat

Today I found a 新発売 (new release) KitKat flavor. It is a collaboration with a drink company called ITOEN. ITOEN is probably most famous for its vegetable juice therefore this is a vegetable juice flavored KitKat.

The front of the package lists that the flavors are Apple and Carrot. It says 「アップル・キャロット香料使用、野菜固形分0.25%」which means that they use a fragrance and the actual use of apple and carrot is only 0.25% of the bar.

Upon opening the first pack, the chocolate was a very light orange color. The aroma was mostly apple and very sweet. I was a bit scared to try it. My impression was pretty much correct, the initial flavor was mostly apple. A few minutes later a nice after-taste of carrot started to appear. It was more pleasing than I had expected.

This is the strangest flavor KitKat that I have seen recently and although I was a bit worried about the taste, it was much more delicious than I expected.
