KitKat スポーツドリンクの味 (Sports Drink flavor) is one of the new flavors for 2009. It is a collaboration between “JFA Dream Asia Project” and “Nestle Japan”. It appears to be a promotional tool for Asian Soccer.
The bar is made of a white chocolate and cookies. The flavor is a bit citrus-y. It is pretty similar to Pocari Sweat, which is a famous sports drink in Japan.
This is another addition to the unique collection of interesting flavored KitKat’s in Japan. If you need to be refreshed or recharged after playing some sports, I would go with Aquarius or Pocari Sweat. If you want a delicious “sports drink flavored” snack then this one is for you!
